Autecology and conservation management of s rare palm species : the case study of lipstick palm cyrtostachys renda blume in kerumutan wildlife sanctuary, Riau
Abstract
The aims of the research are to construct an integrated approach combining eco-biological, physical, and socio-economic components for developing a comprehensive conservation strategy for sustainable management of plant resource, with special reference to the rare palm Cyrtostachys renda, and to elucidate interaction patterns between the palm and its environmental quality parameters. The research was conducted at Kerumutan Wildlife Sanctuary, Riau, including 16 different sites, covering a wide range of vegetation association, forest and habitat types, altitudes, population abundances, and spanning four aspects of the reserve.
