Performa Produksi Hasil Persilangan Ayam Pelung x Sentul x Kampung x Ras Pedaging Umur 12-21 Minggu

Abstract

This research studied the performance of PSKB and PSBK chicken in growth phase (12-21 weeks). PSKB chicken was crossbred between pelung-sentul (PS) cock with kampung-meat type (KB) hen. PSBK chicken was crossbred between pelung-sentul (PS) cock with meat type-kampung (BK) hen. This research used 12 males PSKB, 23 females PSKB, 11 males PSBK, and 9 females PSBK. Variables measured were body weight, body weight gain, feed intake, feed conversion, mortality, age of first egg, weight of first egg, and indexs of egg. The result of this research were not significant (P>0.05) between PSKB cock with PSBK cock and PSKB hen with PSBK hen on body weight, body weight gain, feed intake, feed conversion, weight of first egg, and indexs of egg. Age of first egg were significantly different (P<0.05) between PSKB hen with PSBK hen. The males of PSKB and PSBK had better performance than the females. Crossbred of pelung, sentul, kampong, and meat type showed better performance than local chicken.
