Kinerja Organ Ovarium dan Uterus Umur Dewasa Setelah Pemberian Ekstrak Tempe Saat Usia Lepas Sapih.

Abstract

Tempe is soybean product that contains phytoestrogen. This research was aimed to know the influence of tempe extract on reproduction performance of female rats. Twelve 21-days old female rats were divided into three groups, which were control group and two treatment group, which were given tempe extract 0.005 g/g body weight and 0.01 g/g body everyday for 28 days. Parameters observed were wet and dry weight, total DNA and total RNA of ovaries and uterus which were taken on 224 days old. Data were analyzed using ANOVA method and Duncan test with 95% confidence interval (a=0.05). Result showed that treatment group given tempe extract 0.005 g/g body weight and 0.01 g/g body weightincrease wet weight and total RNA of ovarium and uterus.
