Bottlenose dolphin (Tursiops aduncus) is one of worldwide marine mammals. The status of this dolphin is poorly known and thus many research are needed to understand more about bottlenose dolphin, both free range and captive. The aim of this research was to analyze erythrocyte profile of bottlenose dolphins who live in captive (PT Wersut Seguni Indonesia). Erythrocyte parameters analyzed were total erythrocyte, packed cell volume (PCV), haemoglobin, and erythrocyte indices. This research used 7 dolphins (Tursiops aduncus) on September 2013 at PT. Wersut Seguni Indonesia. The blood was collect from the dorsal part of superficial vein in flukes region. The result shown that those dolphins had 5.14 ± 0.56 × 106 /mm3 of erythrocyte, 13.86 ± 1.68 g/dL haemoglobin concentration, 44.29 ± 2.69 % PCV, 86.57 ± 5.91 fl MCV, 26.94 ± 1.23 pg MCH, and 31.20 ± 2.30 g/dL MCHC. The result shown that erythrocyte profile of Tursiops aduncus is higher than Tursiops truncatus both at free range and captive.
