Abstract

Situ Gede is a pond located in Bogor City, precisely in Situ Gede Village, West Bogor Sub-district, Bogor Infrastructure management of Situ Gede has not been optimalize like very few trashcan, tourism attraction and only few rest area available. Hence, the reseach about economic value of Situ Gede were made. This research is aimed for: (1) analyzing nearby citizen’s perception about Situ Gede’s environmental and management, (2)identifiying the variations of Situ Gede utilization, and (3) estimating the economic value of Situ Gede utilization. Some of kind lake utilizations that conducted in Situ Gede at this time are as fishing ground, irrigation, and tourism object. The aim of this research is to calculate Situ Gede’s economic value using market price method for the fishery utilization, cost analysis for the agricultural utilization, and travel cost method for the tourism utilization. Respondents’ perception of Situ Gede are good air quality, good water quality, beautiful scenery, poor waste disposal system around the lake, and the operations management that still has not run well. Economic valuation for the utilization of Situ Gede consist of fishery utilization which worth 2.621.740.000 IDR, agricultural utilization which worth 18.500.471 IDR, and tourism utilization which worth 1.157.062.500 IDR. Use value of Situ Gede is 3.797.302.971 IDR.
