Variabel Pembeda Ukuran Tubuh Kambing Peranakan Etawah (PE) Betina di Tiga Peternakan Berbeda

Abstract

The purpose of this research was to determine the differences among surface linear measurement body morphometric characteristics of BPTU KDIHPT Pelaihari, Cordero Farm, and Doa Anak Yatim Farm Etawah Grade goat females. Number of Etawah Grade goat females be observed were 90 heads (30 heads of each). Variables measured were shoulder height, hip height, body length, chest width, depth chest, hip width, rump length, chest circumference and cannon circumference. The data was analyzed with T2-Hotelling test, Fisher discriminan analysis, Wald-Anderson and D2-Mahalanobis minimum distance. Discriminator variables between BPTU KDI-HPT Pelaihari vs Cordero Farm Etawah Grade goat females were depth chest, rump length, chest circumference and cannon circumference, whereas those of BPTU KDI-HPT Pelaihari vs Doa Anak Yatim Farm Etawah Grade goat females were shoulder height, hip height, rump length and chest circumference, and those of Cordero Farm vs Doa Anak Yatim Farm Etawah Grade goats were shoulder height and hip height. Unsimilarity body morphometric distance between BPTU KDI-HPT Pelaihari vs Cordero Farm Etawah Grade goat females was 4.617, whereas that of BPTU KDI-HPT Pelaihari vs Doa Anak Yatim Farm Etawah Grade goat females was 5.952 and that of Cordero Farm vs Doa Anak Yatim Farm Etawah Grade goat females was 2.265. BPTU KDI-HPT Pelaihari Etawah Grade goat females was separated from Cordero Farm and Doa Anak Yatim Farm ones . Cordero Farm Etawah Grade goat females formed a category together with Doa Anak Yatim Farm ones conjecturable purpose milk production, whereas BPTU KDI-HPT Pelaihari formed category 2 as Etawah Grade goat females conjecturable purpose meat production.
