Pola Sebaran dan Perubahan Tutupan Hutan dan Lahan pada Ekosistem Transisi di Kabupaten Bungo, Tebo, dan Tanjung Jabung Barat Provinsi Jambi
Abstract
Land cover change is an issue crucial in the process of change of GHG (Green House Gass). This study examines patterns of forest cover and land cover and their changes, especially in the transition ecosystems using remote sensing technology in Jambi Province Regencies. The study areas include Bungo, Tebo, and Tanjung Jabung Barat. The analysis of the patterns were performed using quadrat and nearest neighbor analyses. On the basis of those two approaches, this study shows that the distribution pattern of primary forest, secondary forest, rubber plantation, and oil palm plantation in 1990, 2000, 2011, and 2013 are clumped (clustered) while the distribution pattern of the jungle rubber was dispersed. The pattern of spatial changes from primary forests to secondary forests for the period 1990 - 2000 were clumped, while for the period of 2000 - 2011 were dispersed. The pattern of change from forest to oil palm plantations and rubber plantations were clumped for the period 1990 – 2000 and 2000 – 2011, and the pattern of change from forest to jungle rubber for the period 2000 – 2011 were clumped.
