Slab Steel Plant (SSP) is one of the production unit in PT. ABC. The quality control in SSP factory was done in two group of produced slab steel that was high carbon and micro alloy. The quality of slab steel can be influenced by the chemical composition inside it. The chemical composition testing process is the process control by accomplishing the standard value that has been determined before. The process slot in producing high carbon and micro alloy slab steel in SSP factory I consist of two unit of CCM (Continuous Casting Machine) which distinguished by the width of slab steel with determined format. Based on the result of median vector test in machine difference, it is known that on both of CCM unit (machine) there is no difference in slab steel production process. T2-Hotelling control chart shows that there are still some monitoring that are beyond the pale. The MCpm index obtained was 0.089 and 0.131 each for internal grade high carbon and micro alloy. These indexes shows that high carbon and micro alloy slab steel production process have low process capability cause it produce less than 1 MCpm index value.
