Kerentanan Budaya Melaut Masyarakat Pesisir Suku Bajoe akibat Variabilitas Iklim (studi kasus Desa Bajoe, Kabupaten Bone, Sulawesi Selatan)
Abstract
Bajoe tribe life is entirely depend on the sea which is particularly vulnerable to ocean dynamics that occur as a result of climate variability will make coastal and ocean conditions getting worse and give impact on economic activity. This study aims to determine the shipping tradition vulnerability of Bajoe due to climate variability. The methods used to collect this data are relationship analysis of climate and oceanographic elements with production, and analysis of shipping tradition vulnerability obtained from interviews with 55 respondents. The result of questionnaire consists of the distance on fishing, the length time of fishing and the number of catches which are made into culture vulnerability classification. Based on the survey showed that the climate element such as precipitation, air temperature, wind direction, wind speed, and oceanographic element such as wave height and sea surface temperature affected the activity of fishing and fishermen catch number. The distance on fishing and the length time of fishing are at low vulnerability, while the number of catch fishing is at high vulnerability in 1996-2002. The distance on fishing and the length time of fishing are at moderate vulnerability, while the number of catch fishing is at moderate vulnerability in 2003-2008. The distance on fishing and the length time of fishing are at high vulnerability, while the number of catch fishing is at low vulnerability in 2009-2013.
