      Penentuan sensitivitas insulin dan efektivitas glukosa pada modifikasi minimal model menggunakan algoritma PSO untuk kasus obesitas

      Abstract
      Obesitas merupakan kondisi terdapat penimbunan lemak tubuh yang berlebihan. Kenaikan berat badan dan kurangnya aktifitas fisik menyebabkan resistensi insulin. Sebaliknya, penurunan berat badan dan olahraga meningkatkan sensitivitas insulin dan meningkatkan toleransi glukosa dalam studi non-diabetes dan diabetes. Pada subjek obesitas, model yang paling sesuai dengan mekanisme sistem pengaturan glukosa dan insulin adalah Minimal Model Bregman. Model ini berisi jumlah parameter yang sedikit dan telah banyak digunakan untuk memperkirakan sensitivitas insulin (SI) dan efektifitas glukosa (SG) dari data FSIVGTT. Penentuan parameter tersebut mengunakan algoritma Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO) yang meniru perilaku kawanan serangga. Hasil dari pemodelan dengan menggunakan nilai-nilai parameter tersebut akan menghasilkan pola grafik yang tidak jauh berbeda antara hasil simulasi dengan data eksperimen. Sehingga dapat juga di lihat dari nilai korelasi yang didapatkan melebihi 90% pada subjek obesitas. Kata kunci: efektifitas glukosa, model minimal, obesitas, partikel, sensitivitas insulin
       
      Obesity is a condition in which there is excessive accumulation of body fat. Weight gain and lack of physical activity causes insulin resistance. Conversely, weight loss and doing exercise could improve insulin sensitivity and also improve glucose tolerance in the study of non-diabetic and diabetic. In obese subjects, the best suited model with mechanism of glucose regulation and insulin is Minimal Model Bregman. This model contains a few number of parameters and has been widely used to estimate insulin sensitivity (SI) and glucose effectiveness (SG) of the FSIVGTT data. Determination of the parameters of the algorithm uses Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO), which mimics the behavior of insect swarms. The modeling results by using the values of these parameters will show in a graph pattern that was not much different between the simulation results with experimental data. It can also be seen from the correlation value which exceeds 90% in obese subjects. Keywords: glucose effectiveness, minimal models, obesity, particle, insulin sensitivity
