Bogor regency has high of population growth, economy, and infrastructure so that the need for residential land is also high. Land conversion to settlements is irreversible (not-return) and has long-term impact. Conversion of paddy fields to settlements has impact to food security. The aim of this research is to: analyze the distibution of paddy fields based on slope and road distance, analyze socioeconomic of paddy fields farmer and determine the adequacy of domestic rice and the potential threat of domestic rice security due to. The techniques used are the analysis of images to find out characteristics of land cover/use and see the distribution of paddy fields by slope and distance of the road, determine the socioeconomic characteristics of paddy field farmers through interviews, logistic regression to determine factors affecting land conversion, calculation of the balance of the rice, and overlay to find out rice security threat. The type of land use in sub-district Ciampea dominated by dryland, mixed farming, and rice fields. The existence of paddy fields and farming are dominant at southern regions and a small portion is at the northern area. The result of regression analysis logistics binary obtained that the variable of broad rice fields ( X5 ) has the most influential factor. The equation is (Y) =-49.769 + 8.193X5. Based on the level of rice security threat, 9 villages belong to categorized of medium and 4 villages belong to high category, while based on level of potential rice fields conversion 8 villages belong to categorize of low, 2 villages belong to medium category and 3 villages belong to high category. The balance of rice in the sub-district Ciampea is deficit, because almost entire village belong to deficit status and only one village has surplus status. This condition has threaten the availability of rice while the level of potential rice fields conversion dominanted by low category and has failed to fullfil domestic food security in sub-district Ciampea, as it’s dominant villages belong to medium category.
