Abstract
Deer is one of prospective animals, the term used for animals with potential as a source of meat instead of cattles. The objective of this research was to determined helminth parasites of spotted deer (Axis axis) on Presidential Palace of Bogor. A total of 24 faecal samples were collected from a total population of 689 deers. The samples were examined by McMaster, floatation, and sedimentation methods for helminth eggs. Eggs were found in 2 samples from the total taken samples showed a contamination rate of 8.3%. Each positive samples gave different results, which were of Strongyloides and Toxocara genus. This rate of contamination with helminth eggs of spotted deer on Presidential Palace of Bogor is considered low.
