      Pengetahuan, persepsi risiko, dan perilaku membaca label kadaluarsa produk pangan

      Abstract
      Label kadaluarsa terdiri atas tanggal, bulan, dan tahun yang dibuat oleh produsen untuk menentukan keamanan pangan dan petunjuk perubahan lain seperti cita rasa dan kandungan gizi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh faktor internal dan faktor eksternal terhadap pengetahuan, persepsi risiko, dan perilaku membaca label kadaluarsa. Penelitian dilakukan di Institut Pertanian Bogor (IPB). Teknik penarikan contoh yang digunakan adalah multistage random sampling dengan jumlah responden sebanyak 400 orang. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tidak terdapat perbedaan pengetahuan, persepsi risiko, dan perilaku membaca antara laki-laki dan perempuan. Faktor internal, faktor eksternal, pengetahuan, dan persepsi risiko berpengaruh terhadap perilaku membaca. Namun secara parsial, hanya pendidikan ibu, mendapatkan informasi tentang label, dan persepsi risiko yang berpengaruh secara nyata terhadap perilaku membaca label kadaluarsa.
       
      The label of expire consists of date, month, and year that created by marketer to determine the food safety and the other changes of food such as taste and nutrition. This research analyzed the impacts of the internal factor and external factor on knowledge, risk perception, and the reading behavior of expired label. This research took place at Bogor Agricultural University. The sampling method used the multistage random sampling with 400 respondents. The result showed that there was not difference between male and female respondents in knowledge, risk perception, and reading behavior of expired label. Internal factor, external factor, knowledge, and risk perception affected on reading behavior. But partially, mother’s education, information about label, and risk perception affected on reading behavior.
