      Abstract
      Permasalahan yang dihadapi dalam upaya mewujudkan ketahanan pangan yang utama pada komoditas pangan organik adalah kuantitas dan mutu pangan organik, khususnya sayuran. Untuk itu, penelitian ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan karakteristik produk sayuran organik, mengidentifikasi faktor internal dan eksternal yang terkait dengan produksi produk sayuran organik bernilai tambah tinggi berbasis petani, menyusun strategi produksi produk sayuran organik bernilai tambah tinggi (tersertifikasi) berbasis petani. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah pengambilan contoh secara sengaja dan alat analisis matriks Internal Factor Evaluation (IFE), External Factor Evaluation (EFE) dan Internal Exter-nal (IE) sebagai dasar analisis Strenghts, Weaknesses, Opportunities dan Threats (SWOT) yang ditindaklanjuti dalam bentuk matriks Quantitative Strategic Planning (QSPM) untuk mendapatkan alternatif strategi utama dalam pengembangan produksi pangan organik yang bernilai tambah tinggi di ketiga wilayah Provinsi Jawa Barat, yaitu Megamendung-Bogor, Pengalengan-Bandung dan Garut. Sayuran organik tersertifikasi hanya ditemui di wilayah Garut dan dari analisis strategi dengan pendekatan SWOT yang dituntaskan dengan matriks QSP ditemui 3 tema strategi pengembangan sayuran organik di wilayah tersebut, yaitu tema utama pasar, produksi sayuran organik dan teknologi informasi.
       
      Food security is a system consisting of subsystems availability, distribution, and consumption. Functioning food supply subsystem ensuring the supply of food to meet the needs of the entire population, both in terms of quantity, quality, diversity and safety. Problems encountered in efforts to achieve food security are major organic food commodity is the quantity and quality of organic food itself. Organic food in this case is a vegetable. purpose of this research is describe the characteristics of organic vegetable, identify internal and external factors, strategy of organic vegetable production. The method used in this study is SWOT, QSP for West Java region with sample Megamendung-Bogor, Pengalengan-Bandung and Garut. The results of this study are only organic vegetables from areas that have been certified Garut, and alternative strategies for the three regions are markets and organic vegetable production and information technologies that can help the development of organic vegetables.
