This study was conducted to evaluate cardiovascular radiography (vertebrae heart score (VHS) and cardiothoracic ratio (CTR)) during recruitment maneuver after induced acute lung injury (ALI) in piglet as animal model. As many as ten piglets used on this study. Condition of ALI were induced by lavaging prewarmed saline into lung parenchymal. Recruitment maneuver performed into two groups. The first group (RmB) was bandaged on their chest during recruitment maneuver while the second group (Rm) was not. Chest bandaging is simulated abnormalities of diaphragm muscle in baby. Samples were taken before and after recruitment maneuver. On right lateral view showed that, angle of heart value were ranged between 28.28-34.83o and VHS value increase in RmB greater than Rm. This is happened because chest bandaging provided additional intrathoracic pressure. On Dorsoventral view, CTR value between groups still in the normal range. RmB as a model pediatric musculoskeletal disorders showed significant disturbance in right heart has showed increase short axis value. Rm showed no significant abnormalities. Intrathoracic pressure agreeged heart contractility by enlarging right heart chamber during recruitment maneuver.
