      Abstract

Agroforestry is a land use pattern that can be used as one of the solutions to cope with the exploitation of sandalwood (Santalum album Linn.) in Timor Leste. The pattern of agroforestry is considered beneficial, because in the short term can act as a provider of food. While in the long term can increase the rate of regeneration of sandalwood growth, and can be used as seed sources and the sustainability of sandalwood tree is preserved. The purpose of this study was to measure the potential regeneration of sandalwood that grows naturally in the farm community. The method used in this study using Forest Health Monitoring (FHM). The regeneration of sandalwood at a rate of 130.48 individual seedlings, saplings 107.26 for each individual there are 2 patterns of agroforestry in the plot, while the rate of 0.88 individuals pole at 1 pattern of non agroforestry plots. Based on the research note that agroforestry systems have a higher regeneration than non-agroforestry systems.
