      Peningkatan efisiensi pengisian dan pembentukan biji Mendukung produksi padi hibrida

      Abstract
      Usaha meningkatan efisiensi pembentukan biji dicoba dengan meningkatkan reseptif stigma dan meningkatkan jumlah serta viabilitas polen. Eksudat buatan disemprotkan pada malai bunga tanaman CMS, waktu pemberiannya lima taraf hari ke (1-5; 6-10, 11- 15, 16-20 setelah 50% berbunga dan control). Pupuk daun, GA3, pupuk daun +GA3 pupuk daun+GA3+GA3 rekomendasi disemprotkan pada daun tanaman Restorer pada fase vegetatif, dengan tiga taraf waktu pemberian 6,7 dan 8 MST. Penelitian dilakukan di lapang Laboratorium Benih Leuwikopo Darmaga Bogor mulai bulan September sampai Desember 2009. Pemberian eksudat buatan pada malai bunga tidak meningkatkan reseptif stigma CMS dengan peubah jumlah gabah bernas danjumlah gabah hampa per malai. Pemberian pupuk daun, GA3 serta kombinasinya pada Restorer meningkatkan jumlah dan viabilitas polen. Pupuk daun + GA3 memberikan jumlah dan persentase viabilitas polen tertinggi.dibanding perlakuan lainnya. Waktu pemberian pupuk daun, GA3 serta kombinasinya berpngaruh nyata terhadap persentase viabilitas polen dan tidak berpengaruh terhadap jumlah polen. Waktu pemberian 8 MST memberikan viabilitas polen tertinggi.
       
      Increasing efficiency seed formation was conducted by increment of reseptive stigma and total amount of pollen viability. Artificial excudate sprayed on inflorescence Cytoplamic Male Sterility (CMS) plant, on five levels (1-5; 6-10, 11-15, 16-20 days after 50% flowering and controle). Leaf fertilizer, GA3, leaf f709ertilizer+GA3, leaf fertilizer+GA3+ recommended GA3 sprayed on the leaf of Restorer on the vegetative phase, with three level applied on 6, 7 and 8 weeks after planting (WAP). The research was carried out in Seed Technology Laboratory, Leuwikopo, Darmaga, Bogor at September up to December 2009. Application of artificial exudates on inflorecentia did not affect the reseptive of stigma CMS with variable of total unfilled spikelet and total filled spikelet. The treatment of leaf fertilizer, GA3 and the combination on the Restorer enhanced total and viability of pollen. Leaf fertility + GA3 gave the highest presentage of viability of pollen comparing with other treatment. Vatiation time of leaf fertilizer, GA3 and others combination influence significant on presentage pollen viability and did not significant on the total of pollen. The treatment on 8 WAP gave the highest pollen viability.
