Hubungan Peran Perempuan dalam Sistem Penghidupan Penduduk dengan Peran Perempuan dalam Gerakan Petani Lahan Pasir Kulon Progo Yogyakarta

Abstract

The farmer movement never occur without women role in the movement. Women not only play domestic role, but also as a booster and advocate in the farmer movement. The purpose of this study is to analyze the role of women in the movement of Kulon Progo farmer, as well as to analyze the relationship between women role in livelihood system of coastal society. The study was conducted using research survey method. The sampling method used in this study is simple random sampling with 30 correspondences. This study uses a quantitative approach and qualitative approach. The results shows that women consciously involved in the movement, but in general the division of labor in the movement still follow the traditional gender. Women are actively involved in the local fight, where the actions were spontaneous, without any plan and every member of the society had the chance to participate.
