      Abstract

An appropriate regional development must be supported by leading sector development, therefore the local government needs to discover the leading economic sectors ofits region. The analysis includes linkage analysis, dispersion effect and multiplier effects. The leading sectors in the Lampung Province based on input-output analysis, namely the manufacturing sector with industry specification of wood and products of wood and cork and wickerwork from bamboo, rattan and similar products as well as the furniture industry; transportation and communications sector with a specification of transport via railways, sea and coastal water transport, and inland water transport and crossing; and the construction sector with a specification of civil engineering, specialized construction activities, and building construction.
