Efektivitas Kinerja dan Strategi Pengembangan Kelompok Tani Darma Bakti dalam Pengusahaan Beras Hitam di Kecamatan Cigudeg Kabupaten Bogor

Abstract

Black rice is a food crops subsector’s commodity that need to be developed because the demand is continues increasing but the volume production is still in the low rate. Cigudeg is a subdistrict in Bogor regency that known as the producer of black rice. In Cigudeg subdistrict, black rice cultivated by Darma Bakti Farmers Group. The existence of these farmers group can help the black rice development in Bogor Regency if it has an effective performance and appropriate development strategies to be applied. The purposes of this research are to analyze Darma Bakti Farmers Group’s performance effectivity and to formulate appropriate alternative development strategies for Darma Bakti Farmers Group in black rice cultivation with strategic architectural approach. The result of this research shows that Darma Bakti Farmers Group has quite effective performance all this time. There are alternative strategies that obtained are build a continuous partner in the provision of inputs, marketing of products as well as research and development; increase the quality, quantity, and continuity of black rice production to meet demand; improve the capital availability; farmers group institutional strengthening; develop black rice products with available resource optimization to win the competition; develop products with continuous research and development; and creating trademark and certification as a guarantee of black rice products that produced. The entire alternative strategies can be implemented by Darma Bakti Farmers Group with timescales respectively based on a strategic architecture.
