The study of shoreline changes during the years 2002 - 2012 was conducted in the South Coast of Kebumen, Central Java, using a principle of sediment budget on a cell along the coast. Alongshore sediment transport calculations was done by considering the influence of the wind as the main generating waves in the deep ocean. Sediment transport calculation results showed that the dominant sediment transport was to the east at the time of the waves coming from the southwest and west and to the west when dominant waves propagated from the southeast. However, in general the dominant sediment transport was to the west. The comparison of the shoreline profile between of model results and satellite imagery showed similarity. The difference mainly occurs in the curving shape of the coasline, which probably due to external factor such as human activities which were not considered in the model. The dominant processes occurring on the study area was abrasion or deterioration along the coast. The results showed that abrasion value was greater than the accretion, value i. e., abrasion was around 86.45 meters and accretion was about 74.21 meters.
