Uji Coba Penangkapan Ikan dengan Bagan Tancap menggunakan Lampu LED (Light Emitting Diode

Abstract

Stationary lift net operation is depend on the used of light bulbs. Fishermen nowadays uses tubular lamp as a source of light with high operating costs. Therefore, LED light was invented as an alternative. The goals are to prove that the LED lights can be used as a fishing tool on stationary lift net and to determine the best time of the fishing operation. Two stationary liftnet were used in this research. Four fishing activity were done in one experiment, which were done between 06:00 pm to 09:00 pm, 09:00 pm to 00:00 am, 00:00 am to 03:00 am and 03:00 am to 06:00 am. The results showed that the use of LED lights on the lift net produced 12 organisms with total weight of 167.1 kg, better than the light tubes that only produced 7 kinds of organisms with total weight of 128.2 kg. As for the best time of the catching on the lift net that uses LED lights is between 06:00 pm to 09:00 pm that produced 58.3 kg of catch, while the 09:00 pm to 00:00 am (42.9 kg), 00:00 am to 03:00 am (32.1 kg) and 3:00 am to 06:00 am ( 33.8 kg).
