The increment level in bachelor degree at IPB from 1st level (TPB) to 2nd level is identical to the phenomenon of adaptation processes, such as adaptation to the department courses, lecturers, or new friends. According to data from Direktorat Administrasi dan Pendidikan (Dit-AP) IPB, the GPA decrement of student in Statistics Department at IPB from 2nd semester to 3th semester is 0.55 on 2010, 0.46 on 2011, and 0.44 on 2012. This study used the secondary data from Dit-AP IPB. This data consists of GPA of 1st, 2nd, and 3rd semester of student at Statistics Department in 2010, 2011, and 2012. This study also used the primary data which was collected through survey. The influence variables of the GPA decrement were minor, study group at 3th semester, scholarship, motivation, spending per month, and the most influence variable was minor. The accuracy values of the classification tree generated using CHAID analysis was 55.1%. This classification tree was better to estimate the GPA decrement in “very decrease” category than the “decrease” or “undecrease” category.
