Tingkat Adopsi Teknologi Budidaya Sayuran Organik oleh Petani Mitra ADS-UF IPB Serta Faktor-Faktor yang Mempengaruhinya
Abstract
Vegetables are one of the horticultural commodity that has great potential to be developed in Indonesia. Nowadays, it consumption trend in Indonesia leads to organic vegetables. This movement caused by public awareness about the dangers of using chemical product for health and environment. The farmers who conducted organic farming must adopt various organic cultivating aspects in order to reach organic harvest. Agribusiness Development Station (ADS) is an institution that encourage its partnered farmers to cultivate organic vegetables by adopting cultivating technologies formed in SOP. The purpose of the research is to identify characteristics of farmers, to analyze farmer’s adoption rate of the technology of organic vegetables cultivation, and to analyze factors that influence adoption. The result showed that, farmer’s adoption rate is high, 57.14 percent of farmer adopted the technology as recommended by SOP. Characteristic factors that give real effect based on the p-value in the level of α = 0.1 with logistic regression analysis is the level of education and farming experience.
