Scheduling commercial videotapes in broadcast television is a kind of scheduling problem in mathematical programming. This problem requires special rules in order to broadcast so that it produces an optimal schedule. Broadcasting company sells several slots that will be filled by the commercials to be broadcast. Broadcasting company schedules a number of commercials in a set of available slots such that multiple airings of the same commercial are as evenly spaced as possible. In this work we model scheduling commercial videotapes by using integer linear programming and provide exact and heuristics solutions. We illustrated our result by considering a scheduling problem which consist of 25 commercials from 9 different products.
