Coral reefs have a great potential in the fisheries field since they become an attraction. Because of that, it is important to know the condition of coral reefs at Indonesia till more studies about coral reefs must be done continuously. Along with the advancement of technology, the application of subsea acoustic technology can give solutions in the testing of reef characteristics. The aim of this study was to analyze the Volume Backscattering Strength ( SV ) of lifeform coral at Beras’ Island, Seribu’s Archipelago using an method hydroacoustic Cruz Pro instrument, which was held. Based on the three result from an echogram, the average value of SV first Acropora -18,14 dB, second Acropora -18,45 dB, was on a porites which was -17.56 dB and substrats on the base -25,01 dB until -23,18 dB. Results showed that CruzPro PcFF80 can be used to view the backscattering volume from live and dead coral.
