Objectives of the research: to analyze factors affecting production and profit of rice farming under Crop-Livestock System (CLS), farming economic feasibility, the role of farmers institution and sustainability of CLS, and to formulate future development recommendation. Factors affecting the production of wetland paddy farming are numbers of seeds, Urea (N-source fertilizer), Potassium Chlorida (KCl) fertilizer, farm size, man power and farming pattern. Number of farming production was influenced by farm size and farming pattern, while wetland paddy farming profit were influenced by both production and prices of inputs and outputs. Analysis of production function model indicated that CLS was in constants return to scale. This informed that a farmer used optimum of production factors. CLS should be prospective to be applied by small scale farmers to increase their production. To broaden of CLS pattern it is necessary to support farmers with some of incentives. Data showed that yield of wetland paddy farming increased up to 23.6% and farming profit increased up to 14.7% in CLS, compared with non CLS. In CLS, farming management in larger scale saved the inputs, and increased wetland paddy production up to 17.7%, and farming profit up to 15.6%. The CLS increased the yield and farming profit in the long term application. Application of manure increased wetland paddy production with coefficient value at +0.125, while farming profit coefficient value at +0.134. This information mean that revitalization of manure application as a technical standard/ requirement increased farmer income. The financial and economic feasibility of CLS application is higher than non CLS. The economic feasibility of CLS is much higher than financial feasibility received by farmers. The CLS potentially increased land fertilization, water and air quality, and also created environmentally sound the socio-culture for its community. Farmer got multiple revenues comes from paddy farming, cattle fattening and manure processing. Sustainability of CLS at Sragen District could be categorized in “sustainable status”. There are 4 key factors which have stated as high affected and lower dependant level and should be considered in the development of CLS i.e: (1) farmer group/institution, (2) subsidiary/credit scheme, (3) fertilizers and pesticide application level, and (4) use of paddy straw as livestock feed. There are 5 variables which have stated as high influence and high dependant level, i.e: (1) cattle husbandry system, (2) rural micro finance institution, (3) extension and training frequency, (4) the use of livestock by product and (5) financial and economic feasibility. It is necessary to formulate policy and national movement, toward sustainable agriculture development by adapting of local specific CLS.
