Karakterisasi, Analisis Minyak Atsiri dan Antioksidan Adas (Foeniculum vulgare Mill.) di Taman Nasional Bromo Tengger Semeru
Abstract
Fennel is one of the important herbs commodities that traded in the world, due to its extensive use in culinary, cosmetic and pharmaceutical industries. Fennel is not wide cultivated in Indonesia and grows wild in many mountainous areas in Java. Bromo Tengger Semeru National Park (BTSNP) is one area that overgrown by wild fennel. The research had been conducting from March 2013 until January 2014. Characterization has done at Bromo Tengger Semeru National Park, East Java by gradually-random sampling method, contains oil and antioxidants were analyzed using GC-MS and DPPH method. The characterization results showed fennel BTSNP has the morphological and agronomic characters that similar to the fennel that had been cultivated. Fennel of BTSNP has oil content reaches 4.17% and anethol content reaches 79.79%. Fennel of BTSNP has an antioxidants with IC50 10.4 mg mL-1 with free radical inhibition rate reachs 28.25%.
