Kelimpahan Makrozoobenthos sebagai Bioindikator Cemaran Organik Di Sungai Cibala, Sukanagara, Cianjur
Abstract
Macrozoobenthos are organisms living on the bottom and have a long life cycle so that they can be used as bio-indicators. This study is to determine the index of macrozoobenthos diversity as of the bio-indicators of organic contained in Cibala River, Sukanagara, Cianjur, and to determine the condition of the water quality based on physical, chemical, and biological parameters. Macrozoobenthos communities found in the River Cibala consisted of 9 order i.e Odonata, Ephemeroptera, Plecoptera, Diptera, Coleoptera, Gastropoda, and Lumbriculida. The results showed that Aeshna could be used as bio-indicators of clean water and Hirudo could be used as bio-indicators of polluted water. Diversity and evenness index was highest at the middle station (H '=2.76 and E=0.97). Based on the OQR value (Overall Quality Ratings) on the upper and middle stations show the same value is 4, meaning that the water status are well. While OQR value on the downstream stations value is 3, meaning that the water status are have been contaminated organic matter. Based on the EPT index the upstream station is very well (66,84%), middle station is good (33,34%), and the downstream station is good enough (13,07%).
