Respons Benih Ikan Sidat (Anguilla bicolor bicolor) terhadap Derajat Keasaman (pH)

Abstract

Eels are consumed because it has high content of nutrients, especially vitamin A, EPA and DHA. Demand for eels in the world is very high, therefore the cultivation need to be developed. One of the parameters in eel farming is the pH of the water. This study aims to determine the optimum pH in order to support growth in the maintenance of eels seed. The pH treatment used in this study are pH 6, 7 and 8. Seed sized used 3 g. Results show that the optimum pH for growth of medium eels seed (elver) is pH 7.1.
