      Pigmen Ekstraseluler Kapang Xylaria psidii KT30 sebagai Pewarna Alami pada Lip Gloss

      Abstract
      Lip gloss is a kind of decorative cosmetic where the coloring agent has an important role. Currently, hazardous synthetic coloring agent often contained in the cosmetic so that natural coloring agent for cosmetic have to be found, especially for lip gloss. The purpose of this study was to determine the stability and toxicity of the extracellular pigment of fungus Xylaria psidii KT30 and its use as a natural coloring agent on lip gloss. Cultivation for 21 days was conducted to determine the appropriate harvest time. Culture for 15 days produced the best fungal biomass as much as 0,45% and pH during culture ranged from 4-5. Culture for 12 days produced the most dense extracellular pigment with absorbance value of 1,001. The yield of pigment was 1,9%. Pigment was not toxic with LC50 value of 20.069,5 ppm and homogenity of pigment was good because there was no gritty. Extracellular pigment of X. psidii KT30 that applied in lip gloss was homogeneous and stable. The breaking and melting points of lip gloss correspondingly was 55 cP/5 second and 48-60 °C, with lip gloss average weight was 2,94 gram.
