Performa Penetasan Telur Ayam Hasil Persilangan Ayam Kampung dengan Ayam Ras Pedaging

Abstract

The aimed of this research is to know hatching performance of Local x Broiler (KB) chicken with 3 replication and 1:5 sex ratio, then Broiler x Local (BK) chicken with 2 replication and 1:5 sex ratio. The eggs are collected everydays and hatched everyweeks at incubator with temperature 37-39 oC and humidity 59%-60% until hatching. Variables measured consisted of the weight of hatching weight, the weight of decent hatching eggs, hatching egg weight, egg index, the weight of hatching eggs, hatching weight, egg shell thickness, weight percentages of the weight of hatching eggs, hen day, a decent percentage of hatching, fertility, hatchability, and embryo mortality. Egg weight, egg hatch weight, egg that hatch weight, and DOC (Day Old Chick) of weight KB were bigger than BK chicken (P<0.01). Hen day (P<0.05) and fertility (P<0.01) KB were better than BK. Based on the paremeteres tested, KB better than BK, except the other variables are not significantly different from that egg shell thickness, embryo mortality, hatching a decent percentage, and hatching rate.
