Kajian Q fever pada Sapi di Rumah Potong Hewan Cibinong: Histopatologi Organ Hati dan Paru-paru

Query fever is a zoonosis that caused by Coxiella burnetii. This infection agents came infect any animals, especially cattle. Q fever is a subclinical disease and usually spread by inhalation route. The aim of the research was to find out the information about histopathological changes of Q fever by Hematoxylin and Eosin staining. Research was conducted from January to September 2013. The sample consists of liver, lung, heart, and spleen taken from 50 cattles at Cibinong slaughterhouse. Confirmation of Q fever diagnosis cattles was done by Immunohistochemistry staining to liver, lung, spleen and heart organ. The result showed that 9 of 50 cattles were infected by C. burnetii immunohistochemically. Histopathological changes of liver and lung were not much different between those infected and not infected cattles.
