Analisis Perbedaan Orientasi Pertumbuhan pada Usaha Kecil di Bogor
Abstract
Small business has an important role in national’s economy system. On the other side, some of the small businesses did not exist for a long term because of the ownermanager lack of management ability. Therefore, research regarding small business growth is needed so the owner-manager can focused on the factors that influence the growth of small business. This research is aimed to identify the differencing factors between the growth oriented and the less growth oriented small business, and the small business managerial key factors on agribusiness sector which is growth oriented based on six key dimensions of small business high performance. Direct interview was conducted to the owner-manager of small businesses in Bogor, with purposive sampling method. Discriminant analysis method is used to identify the difference between of growth oriented and less growth oriented small business, meanwhile stepwise discriminant analysis is used to find the difference key factor between the two groups. The result showed that there were seven differentiating factors between the growth oriented and less growth oriented small business, which are mission, vision, strategies, resource supply assurance, customer commitment development, quality, alteration leadership ability, and execution. Meanwhile the small business managerial key factors which is growth oriented is the mission factor.
