Efikasi Antibiotik Berbahan Aktif Enrofloxacin terhadap Escherichia coli dan Mycoplasma gallinarum pada Ayam Pedaging

Abstract

Broiler is a superior breed which has high productivity and shortly in productive period. The productivity of broiler may decline caused by diseases, such as colibacillosis and mycoplasmosis. Antibiotic treatment is one of the choise which can be done to prevent and treat the diseases. This research aims to know the efficacy of antibiotic containing Enrofloxacin against Escherichia coli and Mycoplasma gallinarum. This research was conducted on 1st August, 2012 until 24th August, 2012. The observation included morbidity, mortality, and body weight. The result of this research showed that this antibiotic is effective against Escherichia coli and Mycoplasma gallinarium. The appropriate time antibiotics application to the infected chickens is about six hours untill seven days post infection which has been proven to prevent the diseases effectively.
