Analisis Nilai Tambah dan Keuntungan pada Kerajinan Kayu Desa Pulau Betung Provinsi Jambi
Abstract
Pulau Betung village Jambi Province has small scale wood processing industry, converting wood raw material into woodcraft products. The industry has been supported by the availability of raw material supplied by the private forest. Wood species used for woodcrafting are Gluta renghas, Fagraea fragrans, and Peronema canescens and within one year the volume of wood as a raw materials are 160.313 m3. Processing activities have been carried out manually, using traditional and semi modern tools. Production activities consist of three stages, which are sculpting, refining, and finishing activities. Processing requires the costs, commonly called production costs. Woodcraft production costs consist of raw material, labor, and other input costs. Other input costs are auxiliary, electricity, equipment maintenance, and depreciation costs. These production activities generate added value and profit. During one year woodcrafter has produced 21 kinds of products, which each product has it’s own added value and profit. The biggest added value to the raw material is gained by guest chair with dragon and bird pattern which is Rp22 267 942/unit or Rp9 728 240/m3 and the lowest added value to the raw material is gained by stone ashtray which is Rp4 176/unit or Rp1 391 949/m3. Those added value generated from these 21 products range from 27.839% to 95.419% . The biggest profit is gained by guest chair with dragon and bird pattern which is Rp14 767 942/unit or Rp6 451 700/m3 and the lowest profit is gained by the small arowana fish ornament which is Rp-81 553/unit or Rp-3 262 123/m3. Those generated profits range between -81.553% and 76.228%.
