The existence of community television among the local and private television became an interesting phenomenon in the television industry in developing countries such as Indonesia. Community television could be an alternative to balance the onslaught of media programs on private commercial television which tends to incite violence and other negative influences. Community television could play a role as a medium to empower communities and build the potential of rural areas. This study tried to analyze the patterns and satisfaction Grabag TV audiences and to see how far the satisfaction and benefit of this television in support of the development process for rural communities by looking at the relationship between two variables patterns and satisfaction watching. Research conducted in the village of Grabag, Magelang, Central Java. It was taken place because Grabag TV broadcasting activities in that country, with the target respondents were in 15 hamlets in Grabag. Data collection took place from a September 2012 until November 2012. Population is Grabag villagers were watching Grabag TV, as many as 300 people, of the amount of the audience obtained a sample of 75 respondents through Simple Random Sampling technique. Data was analyzed through descriptive statistics and nonparametric statistics. Descriptive statistical analysis to describe the data obtained from the study and then interpreted. Correlations between variables using frequency tables, cross tabulations and Spearman correlation test. Spearman correlation test to determine the relationship between age, education, and work with patterns and satisfaction watching, Spearman correlation test was also used to look at the relationship between the motifs and patterns of viewing patterns and relationship between satisfaction and patterns of viewing. Gender relations with viewing patterns and the type of work to watch the patterns used Chi Square test. The results showed that the characteristics of Grabag TV audience dominated men because of the involvement and representation of men more in activities Grabag broadcast TV. Type of work many civil servants and private sector use this television as a media channel and dissemination of information related to local government programs and education, while the audience is adult middle age between 31 to 50 years. Motifs for information was categorized highly (57.33%), meaning Grabag TV audiences tend to put high hopes to obtain this information through the mass media. The high motif of information caused by the proximity factor between programs created with the social realities that exist in the dynamics of the population lives Grabag. Watching frequency categorized high, the average audience watching two to three times a week. High frequency was a strong motive to see participation of villagers Grabag involved in making television shows. Duration of the watch is also very high, the average audience watching between 2 to 3 hours in a day. The program is the most preferred is the program information about agriculture, agricultural extension, education programs such as teaching and learning, skills and race track area. Integration satisfaction and social interaction are categorized high above the audience sated broadcast programs that can improve relationships, increase the relationship between the public and the subject of conversation and inspiration to develop skills profession. Between frequency and satisfaction significantly correlated, the higher the frequency of watching the satisfaction achieved the information. Satisfaction information includes matters relating to the fulfillment of the needs of the audience in the form of information, knowledge or messages from the village hall officials. Relationship with the frequency of personal identity satisfaction was also evident, most of the audience admitted Grabag TV programs increase self-confidence and increase their confidence, either as farmers, civil servants and entrepreneurs. Between frequency and hiburan satisfaction was significant. Grabag TV is also considered as our entertainment media to escape from boredom. Entertainment is not merely an art exhibition, the appearance of the host, played by citizens have also provided a sense of excitement and happy.
