A total of 96 Sentul chickens aged 5 to 8 weeks consist of 48 males and 48 females were used in this experiment. These chickens were kept in litter in semi closed house. The experiment was factorial complete randomized designed with sex (male and female) and housing temperature (23 °C dan 30 °C) as factors. Physiological responses (rectal temperature and panting) as well as productive performances (feed consumption, body weight gain, feed conversion, and mortality) were measured. The results showed that housing temperatures significantly affected the rectal temperature and panting. Feed intake was significantly differed between male and female as well as body weight gain (P < 0.05) with males intake and gain more than female. Feed conversion differed significantly between housing temperatures (P < 0.01). No mortality was observed during experiment. The chicken reared under neutral temperature revelead better productivity than those under high housing tempeterature.
