Efikasi Antibiotik D-3 terhadap Escherichia coli dan Mycoplasma gallinarum pada Ayam Pedaging
Abstract
One of the animal-origin protein sources that was usually consumed by Indonesian public came from broiler. A decrease in broiler production can be caused by collicobacillosis and mycoplasmosis. Antibiotics treatment was one of the efforts to support broiler productivity. This research aimed to observe the efficacy of D-3 antibiotics against Eschericia coli and Mycoplasma gallinarum. This research was held on August 2nd, 2012 until August 24th, 2012. The parameters observed were morbidity, mortality, and broiler’s body. The result shown that D-3 antibiotics was effective when it was given on D+7 post infection for broilers that were infected by E. coli. Meanwhile in the broiler group that was infected by M. gallinarum, the effective time for the antibiotics to be given was D+3 post infection. In the other hand, the body weight of broilers infected by either E. coli or M. gallinarum and treated by D-3 antibiotics has no significant difference in general with the literature.
