Analisis CHAID untuk Identifikasi Ketepatan Waktu Lulus Berdasarkan Karakteristik Mahasiswa

Abstract

Bogor Agricultural University (IPB) Under-graduated program is one of the best university in Indonesia which also produces the best graduates. From the data of IPB graduated students in 2010-2013 it shows that the percentage of student who graduates on time is 30.94%. It indicates that there are still many students who do not graduate on time. This study aims to look at the characteristics affecting accuracy of graduation on IPB students using CHAID (Chi-squared Automatic Interaction Detection) analysis. The analysis on IPB students CHAID able to classifies students ontime with the highest classification probability the characteristics derived from FEM, have a GPA of more than 3.39 and taking a minor during college at IPB, while the lowest classification probability that clasifies IPB students who graduate on time have the characteristics derived from FAPERTA-FAHUTAN, with GPA of less than or equal to 2.87 and from jabodetabek. The analysis on IPB FMIPA CHAID unable to classifies students on time. More over the classification accuracy value for IPB students is 74.6% and for IPB FMIPA students is 80%.
