Cilegon is one of the industrial cities that experience development are rapidly. Density of population activities such as transportation and industrial activity led to an increase in water and air pollution and temperature. This research was intented to know the optimal area of urban forest based on carbon dioxide emissions in the air that are generated by fuel oil, Liquid Petroleum Gas, coal, humans, cattle, and rice fields and also know the location of potentially managed as urban forest. methods of research conducted is the literature studies, interviews, preparation work, direct observation and ground check. Cilegon has eight locations of urban forest with a total area 26.11 ha. Carbon dioxide emissions are produced in Cilegon city amounted to 13240029 tons/year, necessitating the addition of city forest 227243.89 ha. The value of Carbon dioxide emissions in 2030 is 3924365870 ton, so land required is 67362298 ha. The potential for urban city is residential area, public cemetery, the beach, empty land industry with long term development plan, and road network.
