Tingkat Respon Komunitas terhadap Konversi Lahan Menjadi Perkebunan Kelapa Sawit di Desa Bungku Jambi
Abstract
Palm oil commodities that are increasingly popular nowadays encouraged community in the village of Bungku convert their land into oil palm. This community is made up of immigrant communities, indigenous people, and local communities. The difference of the community produce different responses to the activity of land conversion to oil palm in Bungku Village. Therefore this research carried out a study on the level of community response to the rate of land conversion to oil palm plantations in the village Bungku by looking at the initial condition of the land and the land converted. This research was conducted using questionnaires and in-depth interviews. The results of this study showed that the response rate of immigrant communities, indigenous, and local are related with the initial conditions in the form of forest land and not related with the land area converted.
