Pengaruh Kemitraan Pabrik Gula Karangsuwung Kabupaten Cirebon terhadap Tingkat Kesejahteraan Petani Tebu
Abstract
Partnerships in plantation is a mutually beneficial relationship, mutual respect, mutual responsibility, mutually reinforcing, and interdependence among firms with planters. However, the trend of inequality and domination in partnership creates dependency either party in this case the farmers against the company. Dependency is what makes a strong control of the farmers so that farmers in decision-making independence of farming is low. The purpose of this study to analyze the pattern of partnership that exists between PG Karangsuwung with sugarcane farmers, as well as determine the level of independence of the partner farmers trying to farm and farmer's welfare. Based on the results of the study showed that the degree of independence of sugarcane farmers partner does most of the still relatively low, but when seen from the welfare of the majority of already high. This is because the degree of independence is less direct effect on the level of well-being, there are other more influential factors such as the size of land holdings.
