Pengaruh Konflik Pernikahan dan Komunikasi Orang Tua-Anak terhadap Kepribadian Remaja pada Keluarga Ibu Bekerja dan Keluarga Ibu Tidak Bekerja

Abstract

The increasing of Labor Force Participation Rate shows that there are many families who have working mothers and contribute directly to double-burdens problem. The problem of double-burden also affects on family life. This research was aimed to analyze the correlations between marital conflict, parent-child communication, and teenager’s maladjustment of working and non-working mother families. The research was conducted at Subdistrict Tanah Sareal, Bogor City by undertaking two areas, i.e Kebon Pedes and Kedung Badak. The research involved 100 families wich were selected by random that were derived from working mothers group and non working mothers group. Respondents of this research were mother and 12-15 years old teenage children. The data collection was carried out by interviewing mother and her teenager using structural quetionnaires. The data were analyzed by descriptive and inferensia analysis. The results showed significant relationship between family’s characteristic, teenager’s characteristic, and marital conflict and teenager’s personality. Significant correlations also found between marital conflict, parent-child communication and teenager’s personality. The results showed teenager’s characteristic and parent-child communication influence on teenager’s personality (maladjustment personality). The strenght of linear correlations and are discussed.
