Abstract

This study aimed to explain the performance level of forestry extension agents in Bogor district and the relation between internal and external factors to the performance level of forestry extension agents. Forestry extension agents and farmers were as units of analysis in this study. Performance level of forestry extension agents assessed by farmers, while internal and external factors were assessed by the extension agents themselves. The performance level of all the forestry extension agents were in the low category. The factors related to low levels of forestry extension agents’s performance are not identified.
