Peningkatan Pelayanan Penilangan Melalui Sistem E-Violation Info (Studi Kasus Satuan Lalu Lintas Polres Bogor)
Abstract
Based on the data from Statistics Indonesia, the number of motor vehicles drivers increased to 43.7% during 2006 and 2010. In addition, Korps Lalu Lintas Kepolisian Indonesia (Korlantas Polri) reported the high number of traffic violations in 2012 in which there were 11 910 traffic tickets and 3 898 warnings occured per day. The large number of traffic tickets causes a need of a system that is able manage the data on traffic tickets. Currently traffic tickets data are managed by the web-based information system. The system is only used for the distribution of traffic tickets from Kepolisian Resor (Polres) to Markas Besar (Mabes) Polri, and it cannot be accessed by violators. In order to view the data on traffic ticketed, violators should come to the local police station and it is quite time consuming. Based on observations at the 508 Polres and Satuan Lalu Lintas (Satlantas) in Indonesia, it is known that 31.9% (162) Polres in Indonesia already has a website and 12.4% (63) have a Satlantas website. From that, there are only 2 Polres website and 2 Satlantas website that informs the data traffic ticket. This shows the very lack of service from police to infrom the data traffic ticket to the violators. Therefore it is necessary to develop a system that can informs traffic tickets to violators anywhere the violators are. The system is called E-Violation Info. It is developed using the prototyping method. The E-Violation Info system can manage traffic ticket data, inform the data to violators either through a website or a Short Message Service (SMS). Moreover, violators can share their traffic ticketed data through the social media.
