When in a trip, a Muslim who wants to pray in the mosque timely, need the nearest mosque information. Such information can be provided through location based services (LBS). LBS consists of application components, component acquisition positions, mobile device, telecommunication networks, and service server. This research has successfully developed Android application that is able to provide the nearest mosque’s information and the mosque’s route on Google Maps. The application uses the acquisition component positioning using assisted global positioning system (A-GPS) in mobile devices. The mobile device used is a smart phone with Android operating system. Then, the telecommunications network uses global system for mobile communications (GSM) network or code division multiple access network (CDMA) network. Service server as content provider on the application is available through three Google API services: Google Maps API as the provider of maps, Google Place API as provider of mosque data, and Google Direction API as provider route to the mosque with the driving mode.
