Klaten is one of rice production centers in Central Java Province with irrigated rice paddies covering an area of 18689.44 ha, representing 0.03% of irrigated rice fields in central Java. The availability of water greatly affects the productivity of the rice plant. Pusur irrigation area is one of the irrigation area often have deficiency of irrigation water in the dry season. The purpose of this research is to identify the characteristics of the irrigated area, irrigation water needs, analyzing and compiling a map of irrigation water balance DAS Pusur. Based on analysis that has been done to the data from 2009-2011, the second planting season which happen in the dry season is a planting season that has most small irrigation fulfillment, while the first and the third planting season have a relatively equal value and higher compared to the second growing season. Based on analysis using discharge data from the Agency of Public Works Klaten. Plosowareng have the highest percentage of irrigation needs, that was 92.41%, while Jetak have the lowest percentage of irrigation needs, that was 57.93%. In fact, Jetak got irrigation water runoff from higher areas so that the percentage of fulfillment of irrigation is higher when compared with the results of analysis by using a discharge data from the Public Works Agency.
