Tinjauan Konservasi Kelor (Moringa oleifera Lam): Studi Kasus di Desa Cikarawang Kecamatan Dramaga Kabupaten Bogor

Abstract

Moringa (Moringa oleifera Lam.) is a multifunction plant which is useful from the roof until the leaf for health, as food, an increasing environment quality. Research about the usefulness of moringa by Indonesian people and the existence hasn’t been done. The purpose of this research is to identify usefulness of moringa by the people and the existence of moringa in Cikarawang Bogor. This research was done in Cikarawang Bogor from May to June 2013. The data was collecting by field observation and interviewing by snowball method. Based on the result, moringa could be found at almost all hamlet in Desa Cikarawang which is had by 24 families heads or 1,14% from the totally families heads in the village. The census result showed that 65 individuals of moringa in Cikarawang which is planted in various type of habitat. The usefulness type of moringa which is done by the village people are 34 % for ritual custom, 42% for medicine, 12 % for food and 12 % for hedge of rice field.
