The study was aimed to examining the effect of body condition score (BCS) of local crossbreed cattle on carcass and non-carcass characteristics. This study used 73 bulls of local crossbreed cattle slaughter on state abbatoar at West Java, Central Java, and East Java. The slaughter weight, carcass and non-carcass weights at different BCS were recorded. The collected data were analyzed by analysis of variance (ANOVA) using general linear model (GLM) procedure. The differences between BCS were tested using Duncan multiple range test. Result showed that increased of BCS from 2 to 4, slaughter weight and carcass weight were increased (P<0.05), except carcasses dressing percentage. The non-carcas weight obviously increased with increasing body condition score (BCS). However significant between BCS differences in non-carcas characteristics occurred only in percentages of offal and tail.
